Given our somewhat sudden pending move to FBS do we think the powers that be rethink the reduction in stadium capacity and figure out a way to add seating or at least keep it the same? On a related note, I caught part of the UAB game on TV Saturday. Beautiful fall afternoon game, but looked like the stands were only about 10% full. I guess that new stadium excitement has faded a bit. We are getting ready to float the bonds, so not sure there is enough time for a significant redesign, but then again I don't work in construction so what do I know? The only area we would be able to expand in the future would be the east endzone. There is also going to be a parking deck built somewhere behind that endzone. Maybe it can be done in a way that extra stand could be build atop the parking deck structure? The deck will be used for student living in the new dorms and also for new suite holders. The new suites will be like the baseball suites with roll up garage doors and outdoor seating. You will enter them from the doors off of trustee circle in the rendering. Initially they wanted to make use of the current visitor side seating. Apparently that is not feasible, so those bleachers will have to be rebuilt. This will be done in such a way that allows the field to be shifted north for more sideline space when the turf is replaced again, until then the north sideline will just have even more room. My personal hope is that we move the visiting team to the current home team sideline to it is tight and uncomfortable for them.

If JSU ever needs more than 21,000+/- seats, then that should be celebrated.

Take out the first 4 rows all the way around. Desperately need more room on the sidelines!

Our baseball facility will be one of the best in the CUSA. If anyone went to the Murray St basketball game a couple years ago when Ja Morant was in town, then you know how loud and hostile it could be in there. All we need is a modern score display in the center. And we'd be good. Small, but nice, which is fine until we pack it out. I am optimistic about the football upgrades. I mentioned this on Twitter, but I'd like to see if we could save some of the old red chairbacks and sell them for a fundraiser. I still think we need the "AJC beer and BBQ patio" with someone's dad out there cooking during the game 😁. I'm a dad. I'd be happy to man the grills. I'm sure I could recruit a few more. Let's go!

And I plan to just step right back out of the sun into the shaded AC behind the garage door 😂

I spoke to a couple people in the know at the ACU game and I believe the plan is to sell the old red seats as a fund raiser. Put me down for some.
