God I hate that intro/outro clip. That thing is 10-ply.
As for Coach Rod. I love it.

You know on one hand I'm glad we have a coach that is willing to call out lackluster effort.
On the other hand I'm kinda concerned about our offensive lackluster effort.
It will be interesting to see how we actually look in a couple weeks. And it will be even more interesting to see how Coach handles it and see how the offense progresses. Unless Coach Rod is sandbagging really hard I would suspect we'll get a pretty good look at what kind of coach we actually hired.
Did we get someone who won't stop until we look like the WVU teams of old or did we get another case of excuses down the line?
But I will say I'm very much looking forward to seeing some Gameball Footcock.

With half of the team gone, who knows what the Cocks will look like v SFA. Just hope our guys are motivated because SFA could be auditioning for a CUSA spot.

Please don't ever let HCRR utter that phrase, it should be dead and buried deeply somewhere out Hwy204.

And like Gem says, with the amount of turnover we have on the roster we should be seeing Coach Rod's gameplan for development pretty early on.

Not only will most of the roster be new, but when it comes to college game experience, most of it will be incredibly, incredibly young. Take Zion Webb out of that QB room, and they're all in diapers. Not to give pre-emptive excuses, but mistakes will be made. Guys are learning a brand new offense (schemes, terminology, coach-player relationships, literally everything else that goes with it) at the same time as they're adapting to the speed of the college game, during a season featuring what promises to be our toughest-ever FCS schedule. No pressure. On the plus side, we should have talent. And the defense seems to be playing well. Maybe we'll be OK.

Coach Rod's offense is predicated on reps and speed and playing with instinct. It takes a lot of reps and practice to develop instinct. Losing records in his first season as HC are not unsual.

If the guys come out and lay it all out there and come up short, that's respectable. And yeah, I'm not expecting to drop 50 points a game out of the gate. In reality, this season doesn't even really matter. As long as the team continues to get better throughout the year I'll be more than satisfied, regardless of what the record ends up being. (That said, I'd still love to come out of the gate and just mop the floor with some teams, especially Kennesaw)

Fully expecting a slow start offensively. We started slow in 2013 with Clark/Grass as OC in their first season, but by seasons end we broke a couple dozen school records.
Hoping the offense can duplicate that kind of success/transition.
BTW - who do y'all expect to win starting QB job? I'm a Zion fan, but the NC State transfer also looks very promising. Could duplicate the Eli Jenkins/Max Shortell rotation we had in 13/14.
