I think JMU gets in ahead of Army if they have 11 or 12 wins. But 6-6 Army probably gets in ahead of 7-5 Jax State. Because ‘Murica. Maybe we need to play Lee Greenwood more.
Seriously, I don’t know if a school only winning two FCS games is ranked ahead of transitions. I couldn’t find a specific list of rules on how it works.
On a related note, we need UTEP to beat FIU (3-3) tonight.

Per the current NCAA rules, a 6-6 Army would be considered a 5-6 team as FBS rules only permit one FCS team to count and thus would be chosen after a 7-5 Jax State. They would have to get in on APR.

His red shirting stunt last year seems to have broken his program. I wonder if they can even beat Kennesaw?

So much for their vaunted defense. 380 yards allowed in the first half alone. It's not like NMSU is a top 10 offense. They rank 37th with 436.3 ypg, and that is skewed by 650 yards against a defensively incompetent WIU team.

Will our transition be complete after this season?

Will our transition be complete after this season? Yes. We are fully bowl eligible next year, along with Sammy and James Madison. Kennesaw will be there in 2025. I was hoping Sam Houston would have helped us out by beating NMSU. They are now at four wins. Sam Houston is a mess. They had a tough schedule and played Liberty a lot closer than we did. KC was against the move to FBS. Maybe he should have checked the job market in FCS.

I thought the consesus was that Sammy was going to come out and win 10 games because they had a bunch of redshirts. Pretty funny.

I thought the consesus was that Sammy was going to come out and win 10 games because they had a bunch of redshirts. Pretty funny. I'm not gonna lie... Sammy's incompetence this year has me perplexed. I won't say I expected 10 wins out of them, but I was laughing at everyone picking them to finish last. As with JSU, I expected the Kats to finish anywhere from 5-7 to 7-5. The big question for me was, has two years under Rich Rod been enough for the Gamecocks to catch up to the (real) Bearkats? I've said it before. I'll say it again: watching SHSU, I've come to believe "blowing off a meaningless season" for depth building and giving experience to younger players is a horrible idea. I think it's put their program YEARS behind where they need to be to compete in FBS. And if KC doesn't maintain control of his locker room, they'll pay a steep price when the Portal opens. And even though Kennesaw has one extra complicating factor -- installing an offense to replace the T.O. -- I think they're repeating the Bearkats' mistake. Ladies and gentlemen, meet your "new" FIU and NMSU. The Panthers and Aggies have clawed their way out of the eternal basement, and the Owls and Bearkats will be taking their place.
