If true does it/how does it affect JSU and CUSA?

Why don't the Big 12, which only has 10 teams, and the Big 10, which has more than twelve, just merge and become the BIG Conference.

Word on the street is, it's been finalized.
USC and UCLA are Big 10 bound.
It makes perfect sense. It all makes perfect sense.

I started tracing paths of the falling dominoes, thinking this would be an easy thing to scheme out.
Nope.
I'm throwing my hands in the air and walking away. Wake me when it's over.
I will say this:
If NMSU and UTEP get poached, it does wonders for CUSA's footprint, and really opens doors for us when it comes to further expansion. Instead of the East-West balance being a crucial part of realignment, the West would be just a few hundred miles end-to-end.
Right now, if JSU were to wind up in the West, we'd be having to send all our OLY teams to El Paso and Las Cruces multiple times a year. East Texas? Louisiana? That's not nearly so bad.
This opens a bunch of doors not only for schools like SFA and Tarleton, but for eastern teams like EKU, KSU, and UTC. Perhaps -- perhaps -- even UNA, in a decade or so.

Didn't see that coming. This will kill the mismanaged PAC-12

Even better. Rumors are Kansas is considering a move to the Big East.
This whole thing is a joke.

There will eventually be 2 conferences. The ESPN Conference and the FoxSports Conference. CUSA will be in neither.

Perhaps the pac stays pat at 10.
I don’t see the big 12 raiding the pac. Kansas isn’t going to the big east. Conferences don’t merge nor do they exchange schools mutually. The MWC has schools to offer that are far more culturally and geographically fit. But perhaps the pac adds 4 to 6 schools from the big12 as an eastern division Or simply add them all killing the big12. But WV is a bit of a stretch.

Colorado and Utah? AZ and AZ State have had conversation with the SEC. It appears the PAC12 is the weaker one between them and the B12. All we can do is wait and see if any of the rumors or guesses are correct.
