Rumor: Oregon and Washington to the 10. Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State to the 12 Clemson, FSU, Miami, OK State to the SEC UNC will not be left out. If ACC schools are available. UNC is the most desired school in the ACC. UVA will be invited to the SEC/BIG before Washington. Clemson and FSU will go and Miami will be borderline. Ok State will have a tough time getting a ticket unless the expansion grows wide and far.

Time for StevO to give his prediction. Including pods. New conference teams in all CAPS and bold
Keep in mind before the NCAA basketball tournaments that the talking heads will name 72 teams that will make the tournament when only 68 are allowed. Same with Super Conferences, there are only 40 schools that are woth the TV money.
End result will be a 14 team playoff.
BIG 10 (20)
1. Maryland 2. Rutgers 3. Penn St 4. VIRGINIA (maybe Stanford if ND insists) 5. NOTRE DAME
6. Ohio St 7. Michigan 8. Michigan St 9. Indiana 10. Purdue
11. Wisconsin 12. Northwestern 13. Illinois 14. Iowa 15. Minnesota
16. Nebraska 17. USC 18. UCLA 19. OREGON 20. WASHINGTON ----------------------------
SEC 1. Florida 2. Georgia 3. South Carolina 4. CLEMSON 5. MIAMI (FL) or FSU
6. TEXAS 7. OKLAHOMA 8. Texas A&M 9. Arkansas 10. Missouri
11. Alabama 12. Auburn 13. Miss State 14. Ole Miss 15. lsu
16. Kentucky 17. Tennessee 18. Vandy 19. NORTH CAROLINA 20. VIRGINIA TECH ---------------------------------
ACC
1. Boston College 2. Duke 3. Florida State 4. Georgia Tech 5. Louisville 6. NC State 7. Pitt 8. Syracuse 9. Wake Forest 10. WEST VIRGINIA 11. CINCINNATI 12. UCF ------------------------------
BIG 12
1. Baylor 2. Iowa St 3. Kansas 4. Kansas St 5. tcu 6. Texas Tech 7. BYU 8. HOUSTON 9. Okla St 10. COLORADO 11. ARIZONA 12. ARIZONA STATE 13. UTAH 14. MEMPHIS -------------------------------------- MOUNTAIN WEST
1. WASHINGTON STATE 2. OREGON STATE Plus Existing MWC -------------------------------------- Independent
1. STANFORD 2. CAL
Feel free to rip it apart. But be willing to give your ideas.
If it is Stanford instead of Virginia, then Memphis and Virginia are in the ACC and Cal goes to the Big 12.
Playoff setup just like I gave on July 2nd.

One (of many) rumors I have heard:
Big Ten top four: Notre Dame UNC Oregon Stanford
My top four for SEC: UNC Virginia Notre Dame Clemson
then Kansas Georgia Tech Florida State Baylor/Duke/Miami

We're going to be the premier school in the PAC12 in 2026.

I doubt seriously the pac 12 while the MWC still exists. It seems far more likely the MWC dissolves because the pac took them all.

Chris Russo: "The Indiana facilities are that much better than some of the facilities in the Pac-12?"
Herbstreit: “Yes, Northwestern, Indiana, Purdue, I'm talking about a lower tier, or what is perceived to be the lower tier level (of the Big Ten). Ohio State, Michigan, the big boys, Nebraska, forget about them, I'm talking middle of the road, lower tier because of that amount of money that is brought into the Big ten. And you should see what the Arkansas and South Carolina facilities are (in the SEC). And then you're gonna go on a recruiting trip to USC and you just left South Carolina, let alone LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn, the big boys. I mean, if you go to South Carolina, and all of a sudden you go to USC, it's night and day. It's very, very hard to compete with what the SEC and the Big Ten are cranking out from a revenue standpoint. And so you're sitting there looking in the mirror and you're USC and you're thinking man, I love our tradition. I love our heritage, our history, but man we're gonna get left behind. We're gonna get left behind. If we don't think about joining one of these two power conferences, we have to do this. And so I think that's why they're there.

You think UNC and NC State will split into different conferences? I don’t see that. The Carolina-State game is the iron bowl of NC. I guess they could be permanent non-con opponents like UGA and Tech, but both are NC System schools.

Aren't USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford all California state schools? Isn't Oklahoma and OK State both Oklahoma state schools? Last week of the season has other non-conference state battles: Florida State - Florida Louisville - Kentucky South Carolina - Clemson maybe more.
